Yesterday we saw a few photos from the UK premiere of the new film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and today we get our first look at the film’s video trailer. As you may already know, Parnassus was the late Heath Ledger’s last film (it was the project he was working on when he passed away in early ‘08) and it is finally ready for release. Here are a few caps from the first official movie trailer for the film:
Because Heath passed away before the film was completed, the movie was tweaked a bit to fill in the gaps … Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law appear in the film as Heath’s character in the scenes he had yet to complete. It looks good … creepy … visually fun. I can see why Heath would want to take on this role … he was always looking for new ways to expand his craft. This is the first role he chose after appearing as The Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight. I’m anxious to see this film … I have been for a long time.
