Lindsay Lohan Hires Larry Rudolph To Do Damage Control

September 3rd, 2010

Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s life has been a huge mess these days and in a last chance effort to salvage what’s left of her career she has hired Britney Spears former manager, Larry Rudolph to help.

Rudolph, who helped Britney Spears get back on top after her public divorce and mental breakdown three years ago, is now employed by Lohan who is hoping he can work his magic and help get her career back on track.

A source tells NYP:

“She’s telling everyone she is more than ready for work and people should hire her and hire her now,” said a close confidante. But Ruldolph isn’t ready to pitch her just yet. “She’s on lockdown.”

I wish him luck!

Kat Von D And Jesse James Go Public – Says James Is ‘The One’

September 3rd, 2010

Kat Von D And Jesse James

Jesse James and Kat Von D went public with their relationship together last night at the opening of her Wonderland gallery in West Hollywood.

At the event Kat told People:

“Jesse is only my ninth boyfriend. I don’t hang out with anybody unless I am in love.”

We basically knew the two were a couple after her Tweet a few weeks ago (which was quickly removed), but there hasn’t really been any confirmation since.

When asked if she thinks James is “The One” she answered:

“I believe he is, so yeah.”

As for all the drama previously surrounding James and his recently finalized divorce from Sandra Bullock Kat says all that didn’t cause her to hesitate:

“I stayed away from that as much as possible, and when we connected recently, it was such a positive thing.  It was just like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t spent this much time with you the entire time I’ve known you.’ Now I’m just embracing it and enjoying it.”

Jared Leto Poses For Terry Richardson Again

September 3rd, 2010

On Wednesday we learned that roving actor/rockstar Jared Leto had returned to NYC … which means, of course, that he had to swing by the studio of his photographer BFF Terry Richardson. As you may recall, back in February Jared got shaved then photographed by Terry … so now that Jared is back in NYC, it was time for a new series of photos:

This time around there was no head shaving involved … but there was a lot of Woot!-worthy shirtlessness. Check out the photos after the jump …

For the most part the photos are silly … but Jared‘s insanely hotness cannot be denied. I gotta say, I don’t think I ever need to see Terry Richardson shirtless again but it is a small price to pay to be able to see Jared‘s bare flesh. MMMM … these photos are really hot … and they actually give Kellan Lutz a run for his money. Enjoy :)

Detroit State Of Mind

September 3rd, 2010

Last night Detroit, MI played host to one of the biggest hip hop concerts that ever was as hometown boy Eminem and NYC’s Jay-Z played the first of their Home and Home Tour shows at Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers baseball team) in downtown Detroit:

The whole night was just beyond huge … I’m having a hard time processing everything that went down because A LOT of shizz went down in Detroit Rock City last night. After the jump, check out photos of Jay-Z‘s concert set as well as Eminem‘s closing concert set which included guest performances by Drake, D12, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre — additionally, you can read a report on last night’s show from the Detroit Free Press and check out a couple videos from last night’s fun …

B.o.B. opened the show and put on a great performance. I’m not too familiar with his music but he reminded me a bit of Outkast, which I really enjoyed. Here in Detroit, Jay-Z took the stage first (at the NYC shows, Eminem takes the stage first) … here are a few photos from his 90 minute set:

I can’t even tell you how impressed I was with Jay‘s performance. I’ve never seen him live before but I deffo plan to see him again. He was just phenomenal. To be honest, tho, I was most impressed with how much respect he showed for Detroit. He gave countless shout-outs to the crowd and thanked the audience for their kind acceptance of him. Jay-Z proclaimed that last night’s show was the most important concert performance of his life … he was very proud to be a Hip Hop artist headlining a stadium show with another Hip Hop artist.

After Jay‘s set, Eminem took the stage the blew the non-existent roof off of Tiger Stadium:

The songs were time-tested, the faces familiar Thursday night at Comerica Park. But if you were sitting among the crowd of 42,000 for the first of two shows by Eminem and Jay-Z, it was hard to escape the realization that this was something new. Something just a little different. It was a night of big and bigger at the Detroit ballpark: huge hits from a pair of superstars on a massive stage. The buzz had been heavy for weeks, in part because we weren’t sure exactly what we’d get. What we got was an evening that may well go down as a milestone for hip-hop. Rock ‘n’ roll has its enduring concert superstars, its Springsteens and Stones. But for hip-hop — whose live legacy has been comprised mostly of flash-and-burn young acts and retro-circuit oldies — Thursday night’s confident, high-quality production represented something unique. It was loud, resounding evidence that hip-hop can do the larger-than-life thing, too. Em and Jay-Z had been building to a breakthrough like this for many years, securing their place in the larger pop culture and pulling hip-hop to a transcendent new level. Jay-Z, recognizing the magnitude of the moment, paused his set and urged the show’s directors to bring up the house lights. He took in the roaring crowd. “This is hip-hop music,” he said, “and this is how far we’ve come.” He’d begun his set at 8:40 p.m. to a blast of lights and squalling rock, alone at center stage to rap the intro from his album “The Dynasty.” From there it was a fast-paced, at times poignant, set of hits and medleys that led to a closing climax of “Empire State of Mind” and “Numb.” Backed by a tight live band, Jay welcomed guests Young Jeezy and Memphis Bleek and paid tribute to fallen stars, including Detroit’s Proof and Aaliyah. It would be Eminem’s hometown crowd to own a half-hour later. Tightly gripping his mic and tensely pacing the stage in his Tigers hoodie, he launched into a fierce performance of “Won’t Back Down,” instantly converting Jay-Z’s warm vibe into a sharper, darker tone. Before him in Comerica Park was a predominantly white crowd composed of Eminem’s original crop of fans — now in their 30s and 40s — and many who were just toddlers when he was working Detroit clubs down the street. They’d come armed with ample enthusiasm. Some had waited in line since early morning, rushing to the field when gates opened at 6 p.m. It was an eclectic, career-spanning set: Em quickly dipped back in time, ripping through 1999′s “Kill You” with slinky backing from the live band behind him. He jumped through the years, placing older tunes (“Cleaning Out My Closet”) next to songs from his new “Recovery.” For all the nostalgia of the older material, it still came with a bite. Em’s new live band brought organic textures to vintage fare like “Without Me,” “Stan” and “The Way I Am,” the last as potent Thursday night as it was 11 years ago. Tens of thousands of fists pumped in unison for the anthem “Not Afraid,” the song proclaiming Eminem’s recent rebirth. As he gazed out from the stage, you sensed it was an emotionally powerful personal moment.

And then came the stream of guest performers during Eminem‘s set … including Drake, 50 Cent, D12, Jay-Z and the biggest surprise of the night, Dr. Dre:

Last night was … INSANE. It was so cool to see Em back in action with his mentor, Dr. Dre. Check out this video from their performance together:

I’ve seen some big shows in my time … but last night’s may be the biggest one of them all. That it all took place in my beloved Detroit Rock City, I can’t even tell you how amazing it was. Em profusely thanked his fans for their support and showered Detroit with love … and he will do so again tonight at the second Comerica Park show. If you can see this concert, get your ass downtown. If you’re in NYC, make sure you see one of those 2 shows next weekend … Epic doesn’t even describe how big a show Em and Jay-Z put on.

As you can prolly tell, my friends and I had a blast last night:

It was a good night in Detroit, y’all. I’m so happy I was able to be a part of it.

Tonight, I’m meeting up with Tracey and Zakiya for a belated birthday celebration with Princess Z. Happy Friday and Happy LONG Weekend, y’all!! Enjoy it!!

Britney Spears Angers Her Fellow Resort Vacationers

September 3rd, 2010

While we have been enjoying the semi-daily photos of Britney Spears and beau Jason Trawick on vacation in Hawaii, there are some folks out there who are not at all happy that Britney is in Hawaii … particularly the folks who are also staying at the luxury resort hotel where Britwick have been staying. Apparently, Britney‘s fellow vacationers have been none too pleased with Britney‘s security detail. But, despite the anger, even her detractors have to admit … Britney looks amazing. Read on to find out what kind of trubs Britney and her security guards have been causing by the pool:

Sure, Britney Spears has been looking über-sexy strutting her bikinied booty around Hawaii with her abtastic bf, but while the pop star may be all smiles, her ‘tude is leaving some fellow vacationers a bit P.O’ed. Oops! She did it again… Another guest of the Grand Wailea in Maui was tres surprised to spot Miss Spears a few cabanas over at the swanky hotel. We’re told Britster could have flown under the radar were it not for her “four huge security dudes that escorted her everywhere.” Oh, and just incase that weren’t enough, the hotel kindly blocked off all surrounding cabanas to guarantee B.S. her privacy. Problem is, when Brit doesn’t want to be bothered she really doesn’t want to be bothered. While the adult pool was teeming with folks sun tanning and sipping on exotic drinks, Brit & Co. decided to set up camp in the kids pool—despite the fact that Brit left her little ones back on the mainland. And Team Spears wasn’t in the mood to put up with anyone else’s kids, for that matter. Our Wailea mommy was furious when Britney’s security interfered with her kids who were playing poolside near B. “She was a bitch,” our Hawaii Five-0 dishes about her encounter with the blonde babe. “Looked good though.” That’s not to say she’s completely forgiven, just because she can pull off a two-piece: “If you she came to the busiest resort in Maui, clearly she wants to be seen. Her goons should back off—or she should stay at the adult pool.”

I mean … yeah, I love Britney but if I were treated this way by her security guys while on vacay, I’d be pissed too. David and I stayed at the Grand Wailea when we were in Maui, HI early last month and I can attest to the luxury of the adult pool on the premises. Britney and co. could just relax there and never be bothered by kids at all … they are not allowed to be in or near that pool. Still, if Britney has to be a “bitch” at least she’s doing so while looking as hot as possible.

Chris Evans Talks To Elle.com

September 3rd, 2010

Chris Evans, who will bring the iconic comic book character Captain America to life on the big screen in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger, sat down to talk with Elle.com about this new role in addition to other fun topics … like acting camp. Here are a few expressive screenshots from Chris‘s interview with Elle:

Surprisingly, Chris confesses that he didn’t “grow up reading comic books” (which is surprising considering how many comic book movies he’s been cast in) so he doesn’t really have that background to go from for his new film … but, the fact that he spent a few Summers at acting camp when he was a kid should alleviate fears that he won’t have the acting chops to pull off the role. In this interview, he also reveals his guiltiest pleasure … intrigued? After the jump, check out this video interview in full …

He’s charming, ain’t he? He strikes me as one of those regular guys who you would have no problem hangin’ out with under any circumstances. Truth be told, I wouldn’t mind enjoying a circumstance or two with Mr. Evans … he seems really fun. Altho he doesn’t really give us much of anything about Captain America in this interview, it’s always nice to see and hear the man in action. Next time, tho, less clothing? Thanks!

Lindsay Lohan Leaves The Driving To Someone Else For A Change

September 3rd, 2010

Lindsay Lohan spent another late night out on the town last night, which continues to trouble me, but this time decided to leave the driving to someone else … which seems very encouraging to me. L. Lo decided to hide herself from view by putting her hand over her eyes and, wouldn’t you know it, she completely disappeared:

It is really amazing how the Peek-A-Boo tactic still manages to make people disappear from sight by just covering one’s eyes. While I still don’t think it’s a good idea for L. Lo to be running around all over town at all hours of the night, I think it behooves her greatly to leave the driving to someone else. Perhaps she is finally learning safe partying tips? Baby steps, y’all … baby steps.

Jake Gyllenhaal & Beard Show Up In SoCal

September 3rd, 2010

Last week we got our first look at Jake Gyllenhaal and his sexy new full-face beard in Colorado, today we get to see the hairy Mr. Gyllenhaal in his more natural habitat of Southern California. Jakey poo was spotted visiting a friend’s cabin (in the woods) this week and as you can see, his fuzzy beard is still in full effect:

No lie, I am really loving this look on Jake. I imagine his beard is all fluffy and soft to the touch … ah, the touch. I’m not crazy about the outfit nor the mandals but the beard, me likely.

Now, because Jake is more hairy these days he isn’t lookin’ so much like himself … rather, in one of these new photos he reminds me of someone else. After the jump, find out who the bearded Jake Gyllenhaal looks exactly like …

LOL!! Same pose and everything. Hairy or not, Jake is a sexy beast … I can’t wait to see more :D
